Dr. Md. Mamun-Ur-Rashid is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Faculty of Agriculture, Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), Dumki, Patuakhali-8602, Bangladesh. Education: MS from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh (2004); PhD in Rural Development and Management from China Agricultural University (2014), carried out with a China Scholarship Council award, with a dissertation on the quality of agricultural extension services in Bangladesh; and postdoctoral research at Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands (2022), on agricultural policy and climate change. Career: Lecturer at Dinajpur Veterinary College (2005-2006), then Lecturer at PSTU (2006-2008), Assistant Professor (2008-2014), Associate Professor (2014-2018) and Professor since 2018. Research focus: agricultural extension and service quality, rural communication and e-agriculture, gender roles in agriculture, fisheries and livestock, rural youth, education and higher-education quality, and climate change adaptation. Methods: survey design and sampling, descriptive statistics, linear and logistic regression, multivariate analysis, hypothesis testing, non-parametric statistics, survival analysis and SERVQUAL/SERVPERF service-quality assessment, combined with qualitative tools such as in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
