Prof. Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Faculty of Agriculture, Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), Dumki, Patuakhali-8602, Bangladesh, where he also serves as Chairman of the department. Education: B Sc Ag (Hons.) and MS in Agricultural Extension Education from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh; a second master's degree through the Erasmus Mundus International Master of Science in Rural Development (IMRD), studied at Ghent University (Belgium), Humboldt University (Germany) and the Slovak University of Agriculture (2016); and a PhD in Ecosystem Management from the School of Environmental and Rural Science, University of New England, Australia (2022). Career: Research Associate and Bengali-English interpreter at Bangladesh Agricultural University (2006-2008), then Lecturer at PSTU (2010-2012), Assistant Professor (2012-2017), Associate Professor (2017-2021) and Professor since 2021. Beyond his own discipline he is an experienced data analyst working with R and Python for big-data management and modelling, and also uses SPSS, GAMS, office applications and web development tools. His academic background spans crop production, protection, extension, marketing and policy, with environmental science and development economics added during his Erasmus Mundus studies in Europe. Teaching: research methodology, training management, communication, learning theories and methods, leadership and groups, gender and development, and technology transfer, including the courses ARD 421 and ARD 422 (Extension Program Building and Transfer of Technology).
